2026 Maria Otto Scholarship
Applications due September 14, 2026
FCCANYS is offering the Maria Otto Scholarship to a family child care provider who has been working in the child care field and follows the spirit and enthusiasm that Maria Otto exhibited in the child care community.
The recipient receives:
- Registration for the 2026 Annual FCCANYS Conference at the Best Western Plus Oswego Hotel and Conference Center in Oswego, NY, October 2–3, 2026
- Two nights lodging at the Best Western Plus Oswego Hotel and Conference Center, October 2 and 3, 2026
- Conference meals: Friday lunch, and Saturday breakfast and lunch
* Additional costs of transportation and incidentals are the responsibility of the winner.

About Maria Otto The Maria Otto Scholarship was established in 1999. Maria Otto worked tirelessly throughout her career to improve the professional status and recognition of providers throughout New York State. She was recognized as one of the earliest experts in the field of family child care and was the founder of FCCANYS and NAFCC. |
Criteria & Submission Requirements
- Applicant must be a registered family child care or licensed group family child care provider.
- Submit a letter nominating yourself or another provider, explaining why you would like to attend this year's conference.
- Submit electronically to scholarship@fccanys.org by September 14, 2026.
- The recipient will be notified by September 19, 2026.
